Project outline

At 8° 34´ east, in the centre of Bremerhaven, there is a unique theme-based attraction with a scientific basis: The Klimahaus® Bremerhaven 8° Ost.

Every year, numerous visitors will immerse themselves in the whole multi-faceted subject of climate on more than 11,500 m² exhibition and adventure space.

In the four independent themed sections "The Journey", "The Elements", "The Prospects" and "The Opportunities", visitors can not only experience natural phenomena and foreign habitats close up, they can actually create their own weather and climate forecasts and look at the future of our planet.

The Klimahaus is the centre attraction in the redevelopment of the historic harbour area and has sparked off various private investment projects.
