Universum® Bremen

Project outline

The pioneering Universum® Bremen facility, a spectacular building covering more than 4,000 m², which opened on 9th September 2000 is a unique visitor attraction in Germany. Science is made accessible in the Universum® with the help of interactive exhibits, simulations and hands-on installations. Visitors go on three expeditions to discover the world: Man-Earth-Cosmos. Over four million people have visited the exhibition since its opening.

The expansion of the Universum® Bremen including a 5,000 m² EntdeckerPark, a discovery park with outdoor exhibits, and the Turm der Lüfte opened on 7th July 2007. With the special exhibition pavilion Show Box, which has been running special temporary exhibitions since autumn 2007, the visitor attraction has developed into a versatile and exciting place for leisure and learning.

The existing Universum® Bremen, the surrounding grounds, and the special exhibition area make up a unique trio, offering a wide range of opportunities to get close to science all year round, whatever the weather.
